Flu season runs from October through May, and peaks in January and February each year. This year, according to a recent story on CBS, there has been a shift in the predominant strain from influenza A to influenza B, which has not happened since the 1992-1993 flu season. Influenza B tends to affect children more and they tend to have a more severe reaction.
