Pediatric Hospitalists
The physicians of PCCSF are board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine so we are uniquely qualified to care for those patients requiring inpatient care who do not have a pediatrician, or whose pediatrician elects to not provide inpatient care.
PCCSF physicians work closely with a child's primary pediatrician to coordinate inpatient care, and daily updates are provided to the primary care provider. Additionally, upon discharge, the patient is returned to the care of their general pediatrician, and to ensure a seamless transition for the patient a thorough note is generated summarizing the patient's hospital stay and discharge plan.
