Who:
Founded in 1985, PCCSF is a group of leading, fellowship-trained, pediatric intensivists and hospitalists.
The physicians of PCCSF are board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine and specialize in the treatment of
hospitalized children.
What:
PCCSF provides bedside assessment and management of critically ill and injured infants and children,
utilizing goal-specific and evidence-based treatment to ensure the best possible outcome in a family-centric environment.
Exceptional expertise and an unparalleled level of care is what set PCCSF apart from other groups. PCCSF ensures that at least one pediatric intensivist is onsite at all times in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
Members of PCCSF's critical care team include intensivists, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, nutritionists, child life specialists, family advocates, social workers and case managers.
Mission:
PCCSF's mission is to deliver top-notch, quality care for children, treating each patient and family
with dignity, respect and genuine concern. PCCSF believes that pediatric critical care medicine is best practiced in a collaborative,
multidisciplinary model. They believe in working closely with other experts and providers in the best interest of the patient.
PCCSF believes family-centric care is critical to patient recovery.
- Parents are included in the patient collaboration process and play important role in ongoing treatment
- Families have direct access to lead physicians and participate in daily rounds
- 24-7 visitation
- Families are taught resuscitation and other training onsite to help administer care to patients once discharged
